Simulations

"It is the high degree of involvement that simulation induces that it makes it an effective instructional tool." Tansey, 1969

An effective simulation has four main components:

1. Objective - the simulation must match the instructional objective

2. Process - be familiar with the simulation; determine your role as a teacher; assess performance in the simulation

3. Debriefing - debrief each activity by discussing the strengths and weaknesses

4. Commitment - both the teacher and the students must be committed to the activities and must also take the commitment seriously.

How do I do it? What does it look like? How do I assess? How can I learn more? What is it? How do I do it? What does it look like? How do I assess? How can I learn more? What is it?
