Resource-Based Learning

"I keep six honest serving men, they taught me all I knew
Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who"
Rudyard Kipling

Assessment of Resource-Based Learning

With Resource-Based Learning, it is important to assess both the process that is undertaken by the students and the product that they create. Assessment identifies the information literacy skills that students have mastered and helps to determine areas where further instruction is needed.

A variety of methods for gathering data are encouraged. These might include some of the following depending on the nature of the assignment and the age level of the students:

Rubrics Anecdotal Records
Checklists Student Journals
Teacher - Student Conferences Exit Cards
Observations

How do I do it? What does it look like? How do I assess? How can I learn more? What is it?
