- On the back of the box put the following information on
a sheet of white paper:

your personal response to the novel (why you chose
it, what you liked or didn't like about it and
why)

connections between this novel and your life, or
other books, or movies, etc.
(Don't forget to have a partner revise and edit your rough
copy before you do a good copy. Ask for help if you need it.)

I. Choose a Novel
II. Read the Novel
III. Prepare an oral report
which includes the
following:
-
name of the author
- copyright date
- genre
- setting
- theme
- a brief summary of the plot and the main characters
IV. Prepare a diorama
- Take an old cereal box, and cut along three sides
to make a 'door-like' opening. (This will be the 'cover' of the book.)
- Cover the outside of the box with coloured contruction
paper.
- On the front of the box print the title, author and
publication information.
- Include an illustration
- Paint the inside of the box. Using paper cut-outs,
plasticine or small figures, create a three-dimensional diorama of a scence
from the novel.
