Multimedia Presentations

Multimedia “is an opportunity for all of us to be artists, musicians, sculptors, composers - and readers and writers!”
Fred D'Ignazio

How Do I Assess Multimedia Presentations?

Evaluation is a measure of process and product. In order for assessment to be authentic, teachers need to gather a variety of data through:
teacher observations
self and peer evaluation - involve the students in the evaluation process. A group evaluation sheet will help students to reflect on their work and teamwork and set goals for continued or future efforts.
rubrics - create your own rubric for multimedia presentations with RubiStar
student-teacher conferencing - when talking with a student about the project you can determine the amount of student understanding, plan for individual support or challenge the student to take an idea further.
student portfolios - containing project planning sheets, draft work, self evaluation and reflection, project check lists, journals, student and teacher rubrics
