Learning comes alive with the union of thoughtful curricula, inspired instructional ideas and original, creative resources. The work of the Web-Based Learning Resource Development (WBLRD) initiative marries the three in this innovative project designed to support Saskatchewan educators and learners.
Approximately 200 resources have been developed by K-12 educators from Saskatchewan school divisions with assistance and funding from the Ministry of Education through the Saskatchewan Educational Technology Consortium. The English-language resources support instruction in all subject areas and at all grade levels. Resources to support instruction in French are available as are resources designed to improve the professional practices of provincial educators.
The instructional resources are aligned with provincial curricula and include lesson and activity plans, exemplars, and assessment and evaluation ideas. In some instances, multiple resources have been created to support a curriculum. Where this is the case, additional resources are identified with an asterisk. A number of resources have been "evergreened" with broken links repaired.
Users are encouraged to use the resources "as is" from the World Wide Web or to download and modify them to better meet specific instructional and learning needs. Users may search the collection of Web resources using the search box provided on each resource page.
